Denzel Washington stars as former Central Intelligence agent Tobin Frost, who is on the run for debatable crimes. Frost is captured and brought to a safe house in South Africa. The Cape Town safe house is manned by a mere rookie, Matt Weston, played by Ryan Reynolds. Frost has more enemies than the CIA, however, and the safe house is soon overtaken by angry gunmen determined to see Frost’s demise. Both Frost and Weston are forced to go on the run together, with Weston protecting Frost, regardless of his crimes. In hopes that they can both get to safety, they search for the truth behind Frost’s aggressors and his former crimes. Safe House also stars Catherine Linklater and David Barlow.
